WBVFCU New Building Development

We have been working hard on plans to build a new and improved WBVFCU branch and operations building. Later this year, we will move to a new, temporary location while construction begins to rebuild at our current home at 1640 High Street.

Is West Branch Valley FCU closing?
No, WBVFCU is not closing. We are continuing operations as normal. In fact, since the beginning of 2026, we have focused heavily on service enhancements for our members.

We now offer ACH Early Pay for members to access their paychecks two days early, new debit cards with the Tap-to-Pay function, mobile wallet integration with Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay, and integration with Plaid so our members can securely connect to other financial institutions including Venmo, CashApp, Rocket Money, and so many more! We’ve even improved account security by adding Two Factor Authentication (2FA) to mobile and online banking. Rest assured, we remain fully staffed, operational, and dedicated to serving our members’ financial needs.

Is WBVFCU building a new credit union? Yes! We have EXCITING plans for a new building to be completed in 2027 at our current location. We will move to a temporary location this summer and plan to break ground sometime this fall. This updated facility will allow us to better service our members and give us room for future growth. WBVFCU has been diligently planning for the new building for many years, and we are proud to be building a brighter and stronger future for our members and community.

Where will the new building be? The new building is going to be built where the current building is located. We will tear down the existing building and build the new and improved building in the same exact location.

Will you need to close during the construction?
No, the credit union will not be closed during the construction period. We will continue to serve our members while the new credit union is being built. Our member services will be in a nearby, temporary location that is still being finalized. Once more information becomes available, we will update our membership through various methods; such as our Facebook page, website, email, newsletter, account statements and postcards. Please be on the lookout for updates!

Will you still offer the same hours of operation?
Yes, WBVFCU will still have the same service hours:

  • Monday 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • Tuesday 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • Wednesday 9:00am to 1:00pm
  • Thursday 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm
  • Saturday (Teller Service) 9:00am to 12:00pm

Will you still have a drive-thru during construction?
WBVFCU will offer all the services that we currently offer with the exclusion of drive-thru services. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate having drive-thru service during our construction period due to the limited space available. We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause our members temporarily. We’re looking ahead with great anticipation to the new building with an upgraded drive-thru that also includes an ATM for our members.

I own a business and would like to submit a bid; can I do that?
Yes, we want to keep as much business within the local community as possible. If you are interested in submitting a bid, please contact us at mail@wbvfcu.org or call 570-323-9407 ext. 3132.
